Whizzpopper!! We are delighted to announce that you can now make advance bookings for what is surely to be one of the biggest, friendliest, gigantic hits of the summer, Steven Spielberg’s The BFG!

The world-renowned director who is known for family favourites such as Jurassic Park, E.T., Jawsand Raiders of the Lost Ark brings the classic tale from Roald Dahl to the big screen on July 22nd. The film follows Sophie, a young girl who lives in an orphanage. Soon, the Big Friendly Giant whisks her away from everything she’s known, and off onto an adventure. Upon her arrival in Giant Country, Sophie is initially frightened of the mysterious giant but soon comes to realise that the BFG is gentle and together they collect dreams and send them to children. However, her presence in Giant Country attracts the unwanted attention of some nastier, bothersome, child-eating giants. Sophie and the BFG depart for London to see Queen Penelope and warn her of the dangerous child-hungry giants, but first must convince the Queen that giants indeed exist. Together, they come up with a plan to get rid of the giants once and for all.

The film stars Oscar winner Mark Rylance as ‘The BFG’ alongside human beans Ruby Barnhill, Penelope Wilton, Jemaine Clement, Rebecca Hall, Rafe Spall, and Bill Hader,
