Recognise them?║1917 Edition

Kicking off another huge year of film, the much awaited WWI epic 1917 finally hits our screens on 10 January. Bagging awards and nominations left right and centre we're bringing you a rundown of its stellar cast in all its glory...

George MacKay

Taking on the role of Lance Corporal Schofield and the main lead in 1917, MacKay is no stranger to the big screen. Having bagged his first role in the 2013 adaptation of Peter Pan when he was just ten-years-old, he has since appeared in countless festival favourites like Michael Morpurgo's Private Peaceful, Sunshine on Leith, Pride and of course Captain Fantastic.

Dean-Charles Chapman

Chapman plays the role of Lance Corporal Blake but you’ll probably recognise him from his time as Tommen Baratheon in Game of Thrones. With each series we saw him grow up on our screen from an adorable young prince to an irritating mummy’s boy

Colin Firth

We’d be here all day if we listed all the films that we’ve loved him in! Bridget Jones is a personal fave, but it was The King’s Speech that won Firth an Academy Award, a BAFTA and a Golden Globe for best actor.

Benedict Cumberbatch

Is there anything this man can’t do? Superhero, detective, dragon… the list goes on. In 1917 Cumberbatch adds colonel to the list. He can’t pronounce the work ‘penguins’ though

Andrew Scott

Scott starred alongside Cumberbatch in Sherlock as the terrifyingly intelligent bad guy, Moriarty. He recently had everyone talking about his role as hot priest in Fleabag and everyone is currently talking about his on stage performance in Present Laughter too.
